Air Force Selects DI for $835M Rotary Wing Maintenance Consolidation IDIQ
The Air Force Installation Contracting Center has awarded DynCorp International a spot on the $835M Rotary Wing Maintenance Consolidation Contract vehicle.
With its inclusion in the contracting pool, the company will be vying for helicopter maintenance, aircrew flight equipment maintenance and weapons maintenance contracts in support of Air Force Global Strike Command, the Pacific Air Forces, Air Education and Training Command and the Air Force District of Washington.
Services provided under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will be performed in various Air Force bases in the U.S., including Malmstrom AFB in Montana, Minot AFB in North Dakota, F.E. Warren AFB in Wyoming and Fairchild AFB in Washington, DI said.
Joe Dunaway, president of DynAviation, welcomed the opportunity to expand the company’s support to the Air Force. According to Dunaway, the IDIQ spot positions DI to deliver rotary wing maintenance in key USAF locations.
Dunaway’s eagerness to serve the Air Force was shared by Alex Sexton, capture management senior director at DI, who noted in a statement their executive airlift team's work to constantly ensure safe, reliable and mission-ready aircraft for top government officials.
DynCorp International is a private military contractor specializing in aviation, logistics, training, intelligence and operational solutions. With its recent acquisition by Amentum, DI now has enhanced capabilities for offering a full suite of logistics/aviation services.
