Allen Harper Joins T-Rex as EVP of Cybersecurity
T-Rex Solutions announced that Allen Harper, an entrepreneur and cybersecurity executive, has joined the company as its executive vice president of cybersecurity. He will lead the company's delivery of secure cloud services to federal customers.
CEO Seth Moore, a Potomac Officers Club member and a 2020 Wash100 awardee, said Harper will help the company modernize the government's systems and protect its valuable data, T-Rex Solutions said.
"As we work to build, secure, and integrate mission-critical systems, we will look to Allen’s leadership and commitment to the mission to relentlessly drive innovation,” Moore said.
The appointee will leverage his technical experience in the Marine Corps, where he led information technology and cybersecurity in Western Iraq before retirement.
He later began a cybersecurity consulting business that specialized in ethical hacking, offensive security, penetration testing and reverse engineering. The company was acquired six years after its founding.
Harper most recently served as the department chair and cyber program director at Liberty University.
He said he looks forward to expanding the company's offerings and enhancing federal agencies' cybersecurity postures.
“I bring an attacker’s mindset and a proactive cybersecurity approach to inform how we help agencies move critical services and assets to the cloud securely,” Harper said.
He earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from North Carolina State University, a master's degree in computer science and information assurance from the Naval Post Graduate School and a doctorate in business and IT from Capella University.
T-Rex Solutions is a premier IT professional services company that specializes in cloud adoption, cybersecurity, data engineering, systems integration and mission-critical services.
