CMMC-AB Designates ADNET as Registered Provider Organization
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body has designated ADNET Technologies as a registered provider organization.
RPOs are certified to provide advice, consulting and recommendations to companies seeking to become compliant with CMMC requirements, ADNET said Tuesday.
“As we have seen, cybercrime can have far-reaching and serious effects. This designation allows ADNET to help organizations meet federal cybersecurity standards, which in turn protects business-critical contracts, reduces the risk of data breaches, and strengthens our national security,” said Tim Weber, director of security services at ADNET.
The CMMC-AB said that RPOs serve as the “implementers” and consultants but do not conduct certified assessments. Only certified third-party assessment organizations may review and submit completed assessments for certification by the CMMC-AB.
ADNET said the designation signifies that it has passed an organizational background check, operates according to the accreditation body's code of conduct and employs at least one registered practitioner trained in CMMC methodology.
The CMMC-AB has authorized Weber, who has over 20 years of technical experience in security services, as a registered practitioner.
“Being one of the first CMMC Registered Provider Organizations demonstrates ADNET’s longstanding commitment to cybersecurity as an organization. This work continues our expansion and investment in the cybersecurity landscape," said ADNET co-CEO Christopher Luise.
ADNET is an information technology management and security company that provides services in the areas of managed IT services, security and cloud.
The company's specialties include cybersecurity, cloud management and optimization, cloud migration, security incident response and security awareness training, among others.
