Gary Wang Appointed Chief Technology Officer at DMI

Gary Wang has taken on the chief technology officer position at digital services firm DMI, where he will lead strategy formation and the delivery of solutions to support customers’ business and mission objectives.

DMI CEO Douglas Thurston, a 4×24 member, emphasized Wang’s experience with digital transformation, technical acumen and strategic vision.

For his part, Wang said that DMI is positioned for growth and that clients stand to benefit as it expands its services across industries. According to a press release, the company’s customers include Fortune 1000 companies and federal, state and local governments.

Wang most recently served as vice president of cloud and application services at Peraton, leading capability development and supporting enterprise information technology and software development efforts.

While at Peraton, he co-authored an article for Carahsoft Technology detailing obstacles to agencies’ hybrid cloud implementation. Wang recommended that the government deploy platforms that simplify operations, enable seamless portability and improve cybersecurity.

Earlier, he served as VP of enterprise solutioning at Science Applications International Corp., DMI said.
