Accenture Federal Services Secures $94M US Army ICAM Support Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded Accenture Federal Services a potential four-year, $94 million contract for identity, credential and access management system support.

AFS will implement commercial standards and architectures to automate the Army’s ICAM user accounts provisioning. Specifically, AFS will implement identity governance and administration, privileged access management and multi-factor authentication.

Work on the contract will enable effective information-sharing, risk management, unauthorized access mitigation and enhanced decision-making, Accenture said Tuesday.

Keith Runtz, the lead official of AFS’ defense portfolio, said the company will deliver a fast, secure and auditable ICAM solution that enables interoperability. Dana Oliver, an AFS managing director and Army programs lead official, added that the company’s solution will reduce ICAM-related costs.

AFS has been receiving IT-related contracts from the U.S. government over recent months.

In June, the Accenture subsidiary secured a 10-year, $329 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Aid for cybersecurity enterprise information assurance services. Deliverables under the contract include risk compliance support, incident management, threat intelligence and mitigation and cyber awareness training.

In May, the Internal Revenue Service awarded AFS a spot on its $2.6 billion Enterprise Development, Operations Services blanket purchase agreement. Under EDOS, AFS will compete with other companies for systems modernization task orders.
