Amentum Services Awarded Potential $256M NASA Contract for Ames Research Center Support
NASA has tapped Amentum Services to provide mission-critical services at its Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley.
The Fully Integrated Lifecycle Mission Support Services 2 contract, valued at up to $256 million, encompasses a two-year base period with the possibility of three one-year extensions, NASA said.
Under the contract that combines cost-plus-fixed-fee core requirements with indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task orders, Amentum will support biosciences flight development projects, from mission implementation to instrument development and technological advancements.
Along with subcontractor Southeastern Universities Research Association, Amentum will also support collaborative science programs such as astrobiology and virtual institutes.
Additional responsibilities include aeronautics research projects and providing specialized technical and professional assistance to various NASA Ames offices.
The contract officially begins on June 17 with a two-month transition period.
