NIST Seeks User Licenses for Facilities Management SaaS Solution
The National Institute of Standards and Technology is looking to procure 260 user licenses for a software-as-a-service facilities management system.
The provider will also perform migration services in support of NIST’s Office of Facilities and Property Management, which is responsible for modernizing the agency’s sites.
According to an NIST notice posted on SAM .gov, deliverables will include project planning, monthly activity reports, weekly status reports, license maintenance and expiration reminders.
The government intends to award a contract that includes an 18-month base period of performance for implementation. Three one-year option periods may be awarded for operations and maintenance services.
NIST expects the SaaS solution to include enterprise asset management and embedded enterprise resource planning capabilities that meet the industry’s standards.
According to the NIST’s notice, the tool will also support requirements related to work management, labor management, inspection management, materials management, operations intelligence, construction management, asset management and system integration.
The solution will improve the ability of OFPM staff to plan and manage daily operations, execute project management and preventative maintenance activities.
Agency staffers should also be able to access stored documents and images from smartphones and tablets.
To account for mission-critical functions, NIST requires the SaaS offering to have the necessary redundancy, resiliency and contingency features.
All migration and training services will be performed at NIST’s site in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Facilities management services will be delivered from the contractor’s own location.
