Starting his career as a software engineer in the late 1980s, Erik has served as Chief Engineer, Program Manager, Division and Group Manager, and most currently as a Senior Solutions Architect for the Defense Solutions Group within Leidos where he provides technical leadership in the pursuit, capture, and execution of large Defense C4ISR and Advanced IT programs. Erik’s primary role involves leading technical teams demonstrating creativity, ingenuity, and technical prowess in the development and application of internal R&D, integration of advanced commercial technologies, and systems engineering solutions to solve complex enterprise issues. He has applied his comprehensive understanding of both Government and Commercial software and systems best practices in the preparation of solutions for over $10B in U.S. Defense contracts over the last five years.
Serving the first nine years of his career in the Department of Treasury, Erik pivoted to private industry in 1997, and has focused his career on building and managing solutions in the DOD C4ISR, Logistics, and Enterprise Business support systems arena since that time. Prior to coming to Leidos in 2014, Erik worked at SAIC, Alion, and CACI taking on increasing roles of responsibility on larger and more complex systems and software integration engagements.
