Pari Kasotia

Pari Kasotia is an energy policy and regulatory expert with 10+ years of experience in the clean energy space. She most recently consulted with the Coalition for Green Capital (CGC) on the NJ Council on the Green Economy. Prior to CGC, Pari served as the Mid-Atlantic Director for Vote Solar. In this role, she advocated for equity-focused solar policies. Pari was the lead architect and advocate for the NJ Shines campaign and the NJ Clean Energy Equity Act that called for bold targets and funding to increase solar and storage access in low-income and environmental justice communities. In 2018, Pari was the lead advocate for the creation of the Community Solar Pilot Program in New Jersey under the Clean Energy Act of 2018. Prior to Vote Solar, Pari served as the Deputy Director of The Solar Foundation where she provided organizational leadership and oversight and was the lead author of the first-ever US Solar Industry Diversity Study. Prior to her work in DC, Pari led the Iowa State Energy Office successfully administering Recovery Act programs created under the Obama administration. Pari is also the Founder and CEO of Environmental Justice Index.
Pari currently serves as the Board Member of Neighborhood Sun. She is among kWh Analytics’ #Solar100 thought leaders and is listed in Renewable Energy World’s Solar 40 under 40 Professionals and Midwest Energy News 40 under 40 Emerging Clean Energy Leaders. Pari holds three master’s degree. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a Master of Business Administration as well as Master of Public Affairs. She has a BA in Environmental Policy and Politics. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband and her daughter.
