Xage Security’s Chief Revenue Officer Moves to Summit 7
Summit 7 Systems has named Darron Makrokanis as chief revenue officer.
Makrokanis, a 4×24 member, joined Summit 7 from Xage Security, where he held the same role for over two years. According to his LinkedIn profile, he remains at Xage as a part-time executive adviser.
In his new role, he will be responsible for driving revenue growth; expanding market presence; and leading the sales, marketing, product and partnership teams, Summit 7 said.
Makrokanis has over two decades of technology industry experience. Prior to joining Xage, he held leadership roles at D2iQ, including president and general manager of D2iQ Government and senior vice president for enterprise and commercial sales.
He also became the vice president of sales at Druva and Tenable and a senior program manager for the justice and homeland security team at Booz Allen Hamilton.
As Summit 7’s CRO, he said he will contribute to the company’s continued success in delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions to defense contractors.
Makrokanis earned a bachelor’s degree in forensic science and criminal justice from American InterContinental University and obtained graduate-level certificates in leadership and management and data analytics from Harvard Extension School and MIT Professional Education, respectively.
